Would you agree that girls' needs are often overlooked, which means they're forced to ride boy's boards or boards with designs they don't fancy? Well, we decided to do something about it! We joined forces with the girls from Flamenell. We can make a women's wakeboard with excellent controllability, low weight, and high performance, and the girls make great designs.
Flamenell is a Czech brand making boardsports clothing and accessories. It's unique in that it was founded by girls and the products they offer are for girls only. We really appreciate this collaboration and the opportunity to participate in this project.
We've created a hybrid board with surgically precise control, low weight and high performance. To achieve these characteristics, we narrowed the outline at the tips, which, combined with the large channels in the bottom, offer quick edging and surgically precise turning. These two large, asymmetrical depressions at the tips work as fins when turning.
In the middle of the board, there are two longitudinal, sharply cut channels that help stabilize the board when landing after a jump. Their special 3D profile pushes the water in front of and behind the board along its longitudinal axis, thus ensuring your stylish landing after a trick.
Nela Veselá says about the design: Another Flamenell board, another challenge! I had one goal – to make the first tie-dyed wake on the market. My objective was clear. What turned out to be a bit more of a challenge was to fire up Illustrator and find out that there are no tutorials, and I don't know how to go about it… I started experimenting with different effects, circular patterns etc. You know what they say "Patience is a virtue"! Being patient had paid off, and after about three months, the first tie-dyed wake was born. Then it was time to choose the perfect colours that wouldn't be the typical Flamenell stuff – something that would shift things up a gear or two. Naturally, I still followed the last year's brief – a simple, clean, and beautiful ladies' wakeboard. I think it turned out quite well, and I'm grateful to Choc for placing their trust in me. I can't wait to give it a proper spin with the girls! As a bonus, we give every chica who buys this wake a 15% discount for our dress with a matching pattern!

Features
3d machined woodcore
The core is CNC machined with an accuracy of 0.1 mm. This accuracy allows us to fine-tune the riding performance of our products.
Hydrodynamic bottom contour – wake specific
The profile of the 3D shape is designed with a view to its hydrodynamic properties needed for air tricks and park riding.
Quadraxial fibreglass
Quadraxial fibreglass is woven from fibres with 4 different orientations. We have it custom-made so that we're able to fine-tune the board's flex and torsion by choosing the correct weight and thickness of the individual directions of fibres.
Lite Carbon power stringers
Reinforcements from uni-directional carbon fibres improve the flex along the long axis of the board. Their position, weight and width help to optimize the performance.
Rubber dampened edge
To improve shock absorption and increase durability, we use VDO anti-vibration rubber on the joints of the base and the ABS sidewall.
Asymmetrical sidewall
The sidewall is sanded in the 90:10 ratio where on its upper side the profile of the core gets thinner towards the edges to allow for quicker and tighter turning.
Slide base
The sintered slide base was specially designed for wakeboarding and has a hardness of 9.2 × 10⁶ mol.
Bombproof inserts
The inserts are placed in beech stringers passing through the core. Moreover, they are reinforced with quadraxial carbon fabric.
