  • We’re proudly introducing this ladies’ gem. We’ve designed this beauty intending to make an all-round, all-mountain snowboard you can rely on in any conditions. The authors of this ultimate design are Nelina and Vaga.art, the Flamenell girls. For us, it was love at first sight. What about you?

This snowboard offers excellent control in powder, poise and stability on the slope even at higher speeds. 

The overall flex is more on the soft side while maintaining high durability and performance. 

We’ve opted for a directional shape and a slight 2mm taper – the tail is ca 2 mm narrower than the tip. This makes the board agile and quick to react when changing edges and carving. 

To allow you to venture off-slope from time to time, we’ve made the tip a different shape than the tail. The tip is slightly broader before the effective edges to keep it above the powder. The tail is about 1cm shorter and a bit narrower behind the effective edges to make the board easier to control while doing short turns in deep snow. 

The bottom layer is made of basalt triaxial laminate of 720g/m2 with a high percentage of longitudinal fibres. To give your Ollie an extra high pop, we placed a 65 mm wide, unidirectional Kevlar stripe at the bottom of the construction spanning the entire length of the snowboard. The unidirectional fibres in this stripe compress during takeoff, working as a spring that gives you a boost after being released. 

The upper part is made of well-proven triaxial fibreglass we’ve been using for over ten years now. 

 

Nela, the author of the design, says:

I began designing this board with a bottle of nice wine. I sipped it while thinking about mountains, snow, chilling out and, first and foremost, a beautiful pink board with a soul under my feet. 

The points I followed: 

  • Point 1: The board will be bright pink (so that no one misses it)
  • Point 2: I’ll throw in a zig-zag element to symbolize mountains and tie the design together nicely.
  • Point 3: Get a beautiful photo of powdered mountain tops and convert it to black and white. 
  • Point 4: Call VAGA.ART (Katka Kaplanová) to tell her it would be really cool if she scribbled something onto the photo again. Nothing over the top, just to spice it up a bit so that the design remains simple and to the point. 
  • Point 5: Put an outline of our snow flamingo on the board.

And it’s done. I was a bit anxious about the CHOC boys’ response, but it was overwhelmingly positive. 

I’m sure that every girl who loves mountains and simple designs will fall in love with this board

Specifications

Double woodcore
The poplar and paulownia core is CNC machined with an accuracy of 0.1 mm. This accuracy allows us to fine-tune the riding performance of our products.

Basalt fibre
The bottom layer is made of basalt triaxial laminate of 720g/m2 with a high percentage of longitudinal fibres.

Carbon sintered base
Top-quality sintered carbon base from Germany with extra carbon for a better slide. Hardness 10.6 x10⁶ mol.

Pop Kevlar reinforcements 
The unidirectional Kevlar reinforcement going from tip to tail gives the board a more aggressive pop and overall better performance.

Triaxial fibreglass laminates
The top layers consist of triaxial fibreglass lamination with 0,-45,+45 fibre arrangement. This laminate has excellent torsion properties, ensuring perfect edge control even at high speeds.

Bombproof edges
The VDO anti-vibration rubber on the joints of the base and the ABS sidewall improves shock absorption and increases durability.
