Specifications
- Racing snowboard in a compact package. Peak has been designed for young riders who want to improve their skills and achieve top performance on the slope.
Specifications
We tested this model in collaboration with the Austrian National Team and their coach, Alex Payer.
It has a directional shape in combination with a 10mm taper – that means the tail is 10mm narrower than the tip. This makes the board agile and quick to react when switching edges and carving.
Its 2.5cm setback keeps the tip above the deep snow when off-piste. Thanks to the overall stance setback, the snowboard is better suited for powder riding and offers greater stability in deep snow.
Its rocker camber provides the ideal balance between stability and flexibility, which makes it more forgiving and minimizes the risk of edge catching. Peak combines technical excellence with durability and is ready to take young racers to the next level.
Its construction uses triaxial glass laminate with a high proportion of longitudinal fibres in both the upper and lower layers adhering to the core. We’ve been using this material for more than a decade due to its reliability. To achieve high pop, the snowboard has a unidirectional carbon reinforcement along the entire length of the board. The unidirectional fibres in this stripe compress during takeoff, acting like a spring that gives you a boost upon release. The board boasts a top-quality 1.2 mm sintered base combined with a lightweight core made from paulownia and poplar wood.
Properties
- Core| Double woodcore
- Materials | Triaxial fiberglass laminates
- Reinforcements | Pop carbon reinforcements
- Edge | Rubber dampened edge
- Edge construction | Bomproof thick stainless stell edges
- Base | Carbon sintered base
Properties
Double woodcore
The poplar and paulownia core is CNC machined with 0.1 mm precision. This level of accuracy allows us to fine-tune the ride and handling characteristics of our products.
Pop carbon reinforcements
The unidirectional carbon reinforcement at the bottom of the construction, running from tip to tail, gives the board a more aggressive pop and overall better performance.
Triaxial fibreglass laminates
The top layers consist of triaxial fibreglass lamination with 0,-45,+45 fibre arrangement. This laminate has excellent torsion properties, which ensures great edge control even at high speeds.
Bombproof edges
The VDO anti-vibration rubber on the joints of the base and the ABS sidewall improves shock absorption and increases durability.
Carbon sintered base
Top-quality sintered carbon base from Germany with extra carbon for a better slide. Hardness of 10.6 × 10⁶ mol.
